AH: Atomic Contemplation

The things I’ve been doing over the last year whether its photography, design, or selling my products (tees and jewelry) have never been over priced. To be honest my tees and stuff are the most expensive out of the bunch and everything I do is quality. I get people that see my work and say “Oh shit you did that” and my response is always the same “Yeah” and then the follow up is can I get a hook up.  How can you hook up a hook up…my Etsy shop has had a sale since it opened and how many people took advantage of it. How can you discount $20 and its on sale for 70% off? How can you expect more photos and work when I already took 200 edited 150 and printed 100 and only charged you $150…I laugh at it, mainly because its not stopping me, it sets me back a little but it doesn’t stop me…I can promise you there aren’t many people trying to come up with their own companies that do the kind of work I do…I can promise you that these some (alot) of these people that have their clothing lines and stuff don’t put in half the work I put in…They don’t go out of their way for one fabric or one bead or one particular backdrop just to make sure they’re putting out the best material and product possible. I promise they’re not all spending the extra hours just to make sure shit is perfect.  If there’s nothing else I can promise you its that I put in that extra work I spend those extra 4 hours working on your photos, those extra 25miles to find the perfect bead for your bracelet that perfect blend of materials for your tee and hours on the design that’s going on it, that’s the shit I do.  The best part about it is its just me doing this shit.  Its not a team of people behind me its just me.  Sure I have people that support me and I’ve beyond grateful for them, but its still just me putting in that work.  I study the shit I spend the extra time paying attention to my surroundings to make sure I’m ahead of the game, I teach myself how to do shit to make my craft better.  So when you say lemme get a hook up and I look at you like you’re crazy respect it, respect the fact that it takes a lot of time and effort to do the things I do, a lot of patience and alot of practice and time to perfect it.  Respect the fact that the stuff is already made and priced and set up to be for the common man to be affordable to everyone.  Respect the fact that its all hand crafted hand worked and its just me doing this shit by myself.  If you can’t that’s just to bad and I’m sorry for that but the work I provide and the quality that its in you won’t find it better for cheaper I can PROMISE YOU THAT!
